STEVE VALENTINE BIO-
Born in Scotland and raised near London, Steve has had a fascination with performing since the age of 5.
That was the year he started THEATRE and DANCE training and took a passionate, lifelong interest in MAGIC. His first job was at the age of 7, playing a child Prince in ‘THE KING AND I’.
From those humble beginnings, Steve has appeared in over 250 HOURS OF TELEVISION, a DOZEN MOVIES, COUNTLESS COMMERCIALS, TWO MULTI AWARD WINNING VIDEO GAMES and THREE TV SERIES.
CROSSING JORDAN for NBC as Criminologist ‘Nigel Townsend’ ,
NIKKI or the WB as choreographer ‘Martine’.
Disney’s I’M IN THE BAND, as 80‘s rock star ‘Derek Jupiter’.
'ALISTAIR' in DRAGONAGE and UNCHARTED TWO as 'Harry Flynn'.
Steve has performed stand-up in LAS VEGAS at the RIVIERA and HARRAHS and at Hollywood’s world famous MAGIC CASTLE
in Hollywood, where he was awarded the coveted CLOSE-UP MAGICIAN OF THE YEAR two years in a row.
In the past he also worked for most of the major CRUISE LINES, performing from Alaska, to Bombay India.
It’s been a wild ride, at 18 years old Steve DJ’d in Europe, running the bar and entertainment in a a nightclub in the former Yugoslavia, escaping to Italy when the war broke out. He’s entertained troops in the Belize jungle, Northern Ireland and the Falkland Islands during that war. He’s traveled the world on a cruise ship performing stand-up comedy, headlined in Las Vegas and became known as one of the top close-up magicians in the world.
“ I had a chance to stay in Vegas with my own illusion show” Steve admits “ But I’m an actor at heart and needed to stay in LA to follow that dream".
Sadly Steve had to retire from the magic scene when, auditioning for a movie role, the producer turned out to be a past magic client who had hired Steve for a party and didn’t take him seriously as an actor. The next day the magic was dropped and everything changed.
Three months later Steve won a two year stint on the sitcom NIKKI for the WB, followed by six years on NBC’s CROSSING JORDAN and the last 2 years on Disney’s I’M IN THE BAND.
Steve has over 30 guest star appearances to his credit, running the gamut from: HARRY'S LAW, LEVERAGE, HOUSE and MONK to THE GOOD GUYS, CHUCK, BOSTON LEGAL, WILL AND GRACE, DHARMA AND GREG, JUST SHOOT ME and many, many more. Continuing in his desire to stretch and perform in as many arena’s as possible, Steve HOSTED the insane reality series ESTATE OF PANIC for SYFY Channel, which was nominated for a Rose D’or.
Steve recently made a major splash re-inventing himself to play the role of EKO in the Pullitzer nominated LA premiere of THE ELABORATE ENTRANCE OF CHAD DEITY at the GEFFEN THEATRE. A piece that has opened to rave reviews.
Just completes the lead villain role in DISNEY'S new musical movie TEEN BEACH MUSICAL due summer 2013.
PRODUCING, WRITING AND ALL THAT STUFF.
Ever since co-writing ‘FORGET ME NOT’ (with Scott Williams), a much lauded episode of CROSSING JORDAN, Steve has written and produced a number of Graphic novels, TV and Film projects including:
THE GOURMET DETECTIVE) - based on the hit series of mystery novels . Developed for USA network with Randy Zisk and David Breckman.
AMONG THE SPIRITS - ‘The absolutely, almost true adventures of Harry Houdini and Sir Arthur Conan-Doyle. Developed with Paul Chart. First it was in development at the SyFy channel, then in an unprecedented move, it was picked up for development by NBC.
He has created projects for Larry Jacobson and FOX 21, including MYSTERY TOUR and STRANGE VALENTINE, both reality magic shows with a twist.
CLUB YUGO- A single camera 80‘s comedy about Steve’s wild real life experiences as an 18 year old DJ in Yugoslavia and dealing with the specter of the impending war. Developed with the hilarious writing team of Jarczak and Thomas.
Along with the brilliant Daniel Frey, Steve turned his pilot script CRIMEWORLD into a graphic novel. CRIMEWORLD is an ultra modern take on Sherlock Holmes. The GRAPHIC NOVEL will soon be available.
His comedy spec Pilot ‘SIMON SEZ, the fall, rise and fall of the greatest illusionist in the World’, has been completed and will soon head out to pitch and package land.

Finally he also just completed BLOOD MAGIC, a thriller screenplay based on real events.
Along with partners Paul Chart (Children of men) and graphic artist Dan Frey (Cry Wolf) Steve has formed the production company LIONHART FILMS. Where they are happily developing three screenplays, SIX MILLION DOLLAR DETECTIVE, THE CAVE, AND CLEAN ME.
Steve doesn’t sleep much...
